Nijo Castle fare for junior high and high school students

The castle's own student fare for both tickets: a timed Honmaru Palace place and castle admission with the Ninomaru Palace.

This fare follows the castle's category for junior high and high school students, usually aged about 12 to 18. It books both tickets for one student: the Honmaru Palace at the same entry time as the rest of your party, and castle admission with the Ninomaru Palace.

What this fare covers

The same visit as the adult fare: the Honmaru Palace at your booked time, the castle grounds, the Ninomaru Palace and the gardens. The Ninomaru Palace is free at this school level, so this fare can be booked on the Tuesdays when it is closed.

On the day

Arrive with the adults in your party at least 20 minutes before your time. Bring a passport or school card that shows age or school, in case staff ask. Socks on, shoes off at the Honmaru Palace.

Who it is not for

University students and older take the adult fare. Elementary school pupils have their own fare.
